USGBC SWVA launched Connect the Dots in Roanoke, Virginia as a seminar for homeowners, auditors, architects and building professionals to meet and exchange knowledge, contact information and ideas.

“KenCairn has a vision of thousands of veterans literally rebuilding the nation’s energy infrastructure in the long run. Starting home by home, they can make a difference with individual citizens. Collectively, he believes they can change the country. In his words “I think that sense of doing something that rebuilds and restores is so inspiring to these vets,” KenCairn said. “They came to protect. Now, they want to restore.”
By providing military veterans with training and career development in everything from managing wind farms to conducting home energy audits, Veterans Green Jobs inspire all of us to lead America’s transition to energy independence, ecological restoration, community renewal, and economic prosperity.

Connect the Dots is a project of the U. S. Green Building Council Southwest Virginia Chapter to advocate and educate our region about green building through a locally produced seminar series and subsequent website modules.
